Charlie Fox is a London and Marseille-based artist, writer and curator, co-creating international art projects that challenge existing models of artistic and audience engagement.
Currently Artistic Director of interdisciplinary art platform counterproductions and director of the largescale social art project inspirallondon. counterproductions facilitates collaborative projects that generate new artistic culture, through experimental performance, engaged and visual art practices; creating work that offers the potential of an art for all. counterproductions research interests include collective models for creative education and/or art practice.
He has been a trustee of CGP London, Camberwell Arts, as well as artist adviser for NewWork Networks. Current studio-based practice includes the creation of work for installations or public performances. For over 7 years Charlie ran an open access print studio in Peckam, SE London that supported the work of 350+ professional artists. He has taught and been taught by others for many years – sharing his experience with students – at numerous art colleges including London College of Printing, Camberwell College of Art, South Kent College, Roehampton University. In 2010 he became a Doctor of Laughter.
